In this video, the following terms are defined: Tides, High-Tide, Low-Tide, Spring-Tide, Neap-Tide, Ebbing, Flooding, and Slack-Tide.

A brief explanation of the relationship between the position of the sun and the moon, and the height of the tides is presented, along with an explanation of why we experience two tide-cycles per day.

Finally, local tide tables are shown for an example day and location. The sites to access tide tables in Canada and the United states are:
